CFP 2026 is closed

That’s a wrap on the fourth edition of our annual call for proposals!

The time has come to take stock of the fourth call for research projects from Ferments du Futur, which kept the team, the scientific advisory board and the entire strategic steering committee fully engaged during the first half of 2026.

  • 27 letters of intent received
  • 12 exploratory projects assessed
  • 6 successful projects

In total, €1.5 million has been allocated to a panel of 14 teams representing 14 French research and higher education organisations.

The selected projects cover a variety of topics, including:

  • Modelling and prediction, to guide production
  • Exploration of microbial biodiversity, to better understand functional effects
  • Improvement of microbial strains through synthetic biology

Researchers from the French academic community, see you at the end of the year for the launch of the 2027 edition!
