The scientific infrastructure of Ferments du Futur is based on two complementary pillars, designed to support research, innovation, and industrial implementation around fermentation.

By combining technological expertise, cutting-edge experimental capabilities, and strong regional anchoring, it enables the creation of bridges between science, industrial sectors, and sustainable food challenges.

The innovation center

The main objective of the Centre d’Innovation de Ferments du Futur (CI2F) is to develop and optimise innovative fermentation processes for (i) the production of high added-value ferments, and (ii) the fermentation of food matrices to obtain healthy, safe products of high nutritional and sensory quality.

Overall, Ferment du Futur brings together around thirty people, giving you access via a single point of contact to a unique range of equipment, operated by our expert teams or your employees and in close collaboration with renowned scientific experts.
